LWG Certified Factory Visit

Mahfujul Haq; Research Assistant Mongsathowai Marma; Research Assistant Md. Asif Mustafa; and Admin Cum Accounts Officer, Mahabubur Rahman Tushar visited LWG-certified factories in Khulna on 18th and 19th
January, 2025.

The team was warmly welcomed by the management of SAF Leather Factory. The management team accompanied the delegation during the factory visit, ensuring a detailed tour of their facilities. The team observed the factory floor, noting the operational setup and compliance standards.

As part of the visit, three planned interviews were conducted to gather insights into their processes and LWG certification journey. The team extends their gratitude to SAF Leather Factory for their hospitality and valuable engagement.

On the following day, the SuperX Leather Factory team welcomed the delegation. They proudly showcased their clean, organized, and well-maintained factory floor. During the visit, the team conducted two interviews and gained further understanding of the factory’s best practices. The management also shared their visionary plans for advancing the leather tanning industry, highlighting their commitment to excellence and sustainability.

The visits provided valuable insights into the factors driving LWG certification and the future of sustainable practices in the leather industry.
