Visit to Savar Tannery Estate

The AUST SusLeather team visited Savar Tannery Estate with Project Coordinator Prof. Dr. Dewan Ahsan to Bangladesh. During his one-week visit to Bangladesh, Dr. Ahsan met with the AUST research team to discuss the progress and current activities of the project. Engaging in detailed discussions with Deputy Project Leader Dr. Abu Hamja and Research Assistants (RAs), Dr. Ahsan was briefed on the intervention efforts so far. The visit included a tour of the selected tanneries (Mitali Tannery Ltd., Anjuman Trading Corporation Lt., Samina Tannery Ltd. and Sadar Tannery Ltd., where the interventions have been implemented and are ongoing. His presence and guidance have been a source of immense motivation for the team, inspiring researchers to further refine their approaches and lead the project to meaningful insights.
