The training covered the five core principles of Lean 5S: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain. Attendees learned how each step contributes to creating a well-organized workspace that is conducive to efficiency and safety. For example, Sort emphasizes eliminating unnecessary items from the workspace, while Set in Order focuses on organizing tools and materials in a way that minimizes time wasted searching

for them. Shine ensures the work environment is clean, which improves safety and morale. Standardize provides guidelines for maintaining the improvements made in the previous steps, and Sustain encourages the continuous application of these practices.

The session highlighted the importance of incorporating Lean 5S into the daily operations of the organization to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Participants were shown real-world examples of how Lean 5S can be applied to reduce inefficiencies, improve product quality, and create a safer work environment.

To ensure understanding and application of the concepts, the session included interactive activities and group discussions. This provided attendees with the opportunity to share insights and experiences while developing a deeper understanding of how Lean 5S can be tailored to their specific workplace needs.
