Intervention training and Intervention Update of 1st cohort.

It was a very busy and effective week for the SusLeather team before Eid vacation, June 2024.

The start of the week was marked by two days of intensive intervention training sessions at Samina Tannery Ltd and Sadar Tannery Ltd. The intervention training, led by Prof. Dr M Sarwar Morshed and Abu Hamja, PhD, focused on the critical implementation of 5S practices in the tannery production process.

The initial phase targeted the Product Development (PD) labs, setting the stage for systematically transforming the functional area. Post-training, our dedicated Research Assistants, Md. Mahfujul Haq, Mongsathowai Marma Babu, and Md Asif Mustafa, tirelessly worked through the whole week in the PD labs of both factories. Though Samina tannery was so busy that they could not actively take part in the work but Sadar tannery was so much cooperative. Their efforts have resulted in significantly more organized and cleaner lab environments, setting a new operational efficiency and safety standard.
